DJ

This 2015 Paint cross gelding was stolen from his mom as a weeks-old foal to serve in a “foal gentling clinic”. Thankfully, a woman in the clinic recognized how much DJ needed a soft place to land and took him home with her. When the baby foal DJ reached training age, he was sent to Zuma’s to begin education. Orphan foals can be difficult; without mom’s imprint and training during their developmental years, they can be a bit of a challenge to train. After more than a year in training, it became clear that DJ was going to be too much horse for his original adopter.

A student at Zuma’s named Jenn Reeves discovered love at first sight when she laid eyes on DJ, and was able to lease him, which eventually led to his adoption! He is now part of the Frat Boy paddock a Zuma’s with a forever home.
