We rely heavily on the support of volunteers from the community to make sure our animals are well cared for. Come join us.

Volunteering Process

As a new volunteer, you will be required to attend an Orientation, held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month from 12:00pm – 2:00pm with the exception of holidays/holiday weekends. Once you fill out the volunteer information form below, you may attend the next scheduled orientation that is convenient for you by simply arriving at the Ranch and following signage to Boomer’s Room (parking available in designated areas). You will not be contacted to schedule attendance at orientation. To check the upcoming schedule for Orientation, Horsemanship Classes and Events at Zuma’s Rescue Ranch, please look at our calendar:

Please bring or email a completed and signed Liability Release prior to attending Orientation to info@zumasrescueranch.com.

Orientation will be a training experience, so please dress to be outdoors with weather appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. Children ages 7 to 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and liability releases must be signed by a parent for any child under 18 years of age. Children ages 16-18 do not need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, but must bring signed liability releases on their first day. At orientation, you may sign up for regular volunteer shifts with our coordinator. *If you have any special skills pertaining to our organization’s mission, you may be contacted with specific volunteer opportunities by our staff. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
